You can do whatever you want with anything on this site, except sue me for it.

Examples of things you're perfectly welcome to do:

• Incorporate my stuff into your own projects, collections, etc. and never look back. That's what it's there for--I'll never (and can't!) sue you for any use of the stuff on this site. I'd love to hear about any cool projects you have, but of course even if you never tell me that's still OK.
• Re-release my stuff under a more restrictive license, like the GPL or a commercial license. I'm not fanatical about open source, but I can understand why some people are; conversely, I'm not particularly fond of commercial software, but a man's gotta eat.
• Sell my stuff. This is fine, but be aware that folks will always be able to download my original copy for free, so your modifications better really add some value! Also, I'd be perfectly happy to consult (hint, hint).

Legalese

This license ("License") grants you ("You") the non-exclusive right ("Right") to download, use, modify, and redistribute the covered images, text, and software ("Stuff") of Orion Sky Lawlor or related entities ("Me") without limitation or exclusion. In exchange for this Right, You give up any and all rights to enjoin legal action against or collect damages from ("Sue") Me arising from any event or action relating to said Stuff. You cannot recover any right to Sue for anything this Stuff does or is via any tenuous legal theories ("Lies"). Extremely convoluted Lies or Lies directly tangential to commmonly accepted reality will still not recover Your right to Sue.

Examples of things You cannot Sue Me for:

• You re-release My Stuff under a proprietary license, then Sue Me to stop my distribution of My Stuff. Such a Suit would be invalid, since this License--Your only Right to use My Stuff--is non-exclusive. This License is not a copyright transfer from Me to You.
• The Stuff isn't as useful as You thought, and You want Your money back. Since the Stuff is free, You've already got Your money back. Case closed.
• The Stuff causes You problems. Sorry, I'm always glad to get bug reports, and I'll try to help if I can, but You still cannot Sue.

Caveats

I always hope, but not require, that you will acknowledge and respect my authorship. For example, it is extremely impolite to remove the original author's name from source code. Conversely, it is extrordinarily impolite to redistribute an "improved" version of software without clearly identifying it as such.

It's arguable whether any online "contract" (like the silly clickthrough EULA's in all modern software) is worth the bits it's printed on, since there's no opportunity to refuse or negotiate the darned thing. My only hope with this license it to make clear that you're free to do what you like, but you're on your own.

This license is released for public use under itself.
